Our Beaches

Emerald Isle’s stunning beaches are the heart of our coastal town. Experience the ease of access and the joys of beach life, whether you’re sunbathing, surfing, or just enjoying a peaceful walk along the shore.

While oceanside communities have their own beach access points, public access points include:

  • Eastern Ocean Regional Access: Known for its picturesque views, this access point offers convenient parking and outdoor showers, perfect for rinsing off after a day in the sun.

Maritime Forests

People might not normally think about the woods when they think about coming to the Crystal Coast, but Emerald Isle Woods Park is a hidden gem. The 41-acre park features:

  • NC Birding Trail
  • Walking & Hiking Trails
  • Disc Golf Course
  • Floating Dock
  • 4 Grills
  • Handicapped Accessible
  • Picnic Pavilion
  • Pier
  • Restrooms

It’s a great spot for a quiet walk, and you might even catch a glimpse of the local wildlife.

And just across the bridge in Cedar Point, you’ll find the Tideland National Recreation Trail in the Croatan Forest. It’s nearly 2 miles of trails meander through the salt marsh and its adjoining forest. On two loop trails, hikers can travel boardwalks and smooth gravel paths.

There is a parking and picnic area by the White Oak River at the entry point of the trail.
